The Makita BL4040 is the new 4.0Ah 40Vmax battery. These batteries have a new cell introduced and have digital communication between the battery and the charger and also between the battery and the tool. This increases the extraction rate compared to the older LXT batteries. These batteries have been designed for products used in continuous operations.
